Website Design Services
When you agree to a quoted price for your web design project, you pay a non-refundable 20% deposit. I then design your site on our servers.
You must secure a domain name and a WordPress website hosting service. There are many options, but we recommend an Australian company, VentraIP. I have no affiliation with VentraIP and receive no commissions for recommending you.
Some services associated with your website may involve purchasing subscriptions to outside service providers. For example, if you opt for the premium security option, you must pay an annual subscription to WordFence and/or Sucuri. Where possible, I recommend free or low-cost services. Such services are listed in the quote separately along with links to the current pricing. I have no affiliation with any services we recommend.
Once you are happy with your website I ask you to pay the remaining balance. Upon receipt of this payment, I transfer it to your chosen domain and host.
If you are unhappy with the website you can:
- Ask for changes
- Not pay me the balance, but I don’t transfer the website to your domain and host
I reserve the right to refuse further alterations that we believe are unreasonable or that fall outside the scope of the quote.
I give a 14-day warranty on your website being free of errors caused by me. However, unless you have also purchased a maintenance plan, you are responsible for keeping things up to date and working. You are also responsible for your website’s ongoing security.
Logo Design Services
Logo design services packaged as part of a website design project are subject to the same terms as website designs.
If you purchase a logo design outside of the above, you must:
- Pay in advance
- Supply drawings and descriptions of your logo
We then design 2 logos. We send a low resolution, watermarked copy of each design to you for feedback.
If needed, we redesign one or both options for you based on your feedback. Then we send you watermarked images of the revised designs.
You then choose one of the designs. We automatically assign the copyright to you and provide you with high-resolution images of your logo in SVG, PNG and WebP formats.
Directory Listings
Directory listings include Google My Business, Bing Places for Business, Apple Maps and other directories.
If you purchase directory listings packaged as part of a website design project are subject to the same terms as website designs.
If you purchase help setting up any such directories as a stand-alone service, you are responsible for:
- Paying the set fee upfront
- Providing accurate and complete information (including images, logos etc.)
- Maintaining your listings
Whether you purchase directory listings as part of a web design project or as a stand-alone service:
- We will set up your listing/s with the information you provide.
- We cannot guarantee that you will rank highly in your listings or that such listings will help your website rank higher.
Setting up directory listings can require you to share information, such as usernames and passwords. Where possible, we recommend letting us set up a separate dedicated business account (e.g., with Google) and then changing your password as soon as we have finished our work.
Social Media Pages & Accounts
If you purchase a service to set up a social media business page (e.g., Facebook) or account (e.g.. Twitter). You are responsible for:
- Paying for the service beforehand
- Providing all material (text, images)
- Maintaining the page/account afterwards
We only offer refunds if the page or account was not set up as you requested.
Setting up social media pages may require you to share sensitive information such as usernames and passwords. Setting up directory listings can require you to share information, such as usernames and passwords. Where possible, we recommend letting us set up a separate dedicated business account (e.g., with Twitter) and then changing your password as soon as we have finished our work.
Content Creation
If you purchase a content creation service such as copywriting an article for your website, you must:
- Pay for the service beforehand
- Provide us with a topic
We will:
- Research the content
- Create the content
- Proofread the content
You must then check the content for accuracy before it is published on your website. We can either:
- Publish the content on as a blog post on your website, with the author being acknlowegded as such and retaining the copyright of the article
- Transfer the copyright to you and send you a Word document for you to publish yourself
We only offer refunds if the content was not created and shared with you.
If we publish the content on your blog, you may need to supply us with a unique editor username and password.
Site Speed Services & Other Technical SEO
If you purchase a site speed booster service, you must pay for the service beforehand. Booster services will improve your website’s loading speed as measured by Google’s PageSpeed Insights. However, they are not enough to get you 90+ scores. You are entitled to a refund if your loading speed did not improve.
If you purchase a site speed audit, you must pay for the audit beforehand. You will receive an audit report with recommendations and costings for getting your selected web pages to score 90+ on Google’s PageSpeed Insights. The audit is non-refundable.
If you engage us to action the recommendations from your site speed audit, you must pay in advance. We guarantee to have your selected pages score 90+ on Google’s PageSpeed Insights provided you follow all recommendations, which may include costs beyond our work such as:
- Changing hosts or hosting plans
- Removing or replacing some plugins
If you engage us for other technical SEO, including SEO markup, schema markup, rich snippets and internal linking, you must pay for the service beforehand. We guarantee that the markup is added. Markup is an essential factor for ranking on Google, but it is only one of many factors. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that you will rank on Google.
For all site speed and technical SEO services, you will need to supply us with sensitive information including user names and passwords for you

Where possible, we recommend setting up dedicated accounts for us and then deleting them once the service is finished.
Complaints & Disputes
If you have concerns with any of our work, we ask that you raise them with us within 14 days of service delivery.
We will:
- Take the time to ensure we understand your concern
- Discuss possible ways to address your concern
- If we cannot reach an agreement on a resolution, we may appoint a mediator to facilitate an agreement.

Refunds
One potential way to resolve complaints and disputes is through refunding your purchase.
In general terms, we offer a refund if our service was substantially unfit for its described purpose and cannot be fixed within a reasonable timeframe.
WordPress Website Design
In specific relation to WordPress website design, we offer you an additional warranty. After paying a 20% deposit, we build you a website.
Assuming it is not substantially unfit for purpose, this deposit is non-refundable.
However, if you are not happy with it in any way, you can cancel the contract without paying the 80% balance owed.
In such a case, we do not transfer the site to your domain and website host.
Site Speed Audit Actions
Site speed audits are not refundable unless not performed as described.
However, if you employ us to action audit recommendations, we guarantee 90 or higher scores on Google’s PageSpeed Insights.
We will gladly refund what you paid us for actioning these recommendations if such scores are not achieved.
